Premiership Striker Transfers to Barnsley FC
In a shock move Premiership star Nicolas Anelka has moved to a temporary home at Barnsley FC, thanks to Anywhere Sameday Couriers.
Although he recently moved to Chelsea for £15 million, Anelka will be temporarily making appearances at the Tykes’ Oakwell stadium following a £69 transfer from Huddersfield Town.
But despite his nickname “Le Sulk”, we don’t think the Frenchman will be complaining too much about his new home – or the transfer fee. The lifesize (1.87m) cardboard cut-out of Anelka was carefully wrapped in blankets and transported from Huddersfield Town FC in the back of a white van to his temporary home at Barnsley FC by Anywhere Sameday’s courier Peter Dawson.
Peter said “I don’t know why they call him “Le Sulk”, he was very quiet but he seemed happy enough when I left him.”
Having seen the picture that Peter sent us we’re not too sure about that!
